Ellsworth City Council to hold public hearings on the water storage tank project and on water rates.

Ellsworth- This (Tuesday) evening, the Ellsworth City Council will hold two public hearings. The first one is for an environmental document concerning the elevated water storage tank project. The second hearing is for the water rate ordinance for residents and businesses. The first reading of the water rate ordinance will also be on the agenda. A resolution to fix a date for a public hearing on a proposal to enter into a general obligation water improvement loan and disbursement agreement and to borrow money thereunder in a principal amount not to exceed $1,000,000 will be set by the Ellsworth City Council.

In other matters this evening, the Ellsworth City Council will review an IAMU Mutual Aid Program agreement, approve a building permit for 1617 Delphi Street and review a Brown Builds LLC quote for interior work on the Ellsworth City Shed for $46,725. A 28E agreement with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for $7,112 will be discussed by the council for the community of Ellsworth.  Sealed bids for two fire trucks for the Ellsworth Fire and EMS Department will be discussed plus other matters before the council. This evening’s Ellsworth City Council meeting will be held at 6 this evening in the Ellsworth City Hall.
