Jewell-The popularity of scooters and e-bikes has grown in recent years. This Monday evening, the Jewell City Council will discuss a proposed ordinance for the use of scooters in the community. There will also be a discussion on a sidewalk ordinance for Jewell. A cooperative equipment agreement update for the Jewell Fire and Rescue Department will be presented to the council. A presentation of a resolution to set fees for fire department responses will be looked at this Monday. There will be a public hearing for the 2025-26 budget amendment.
The amending of employee health insurance rates will be presented for discussion. Updates from the Jewell Public Works Department will be on the agenda plus the latest on Water Works Park. The Jewell City Council meeting time is this Monday, May 11th at 7:00 at the Jewell City Hall.
