STATE CENTER, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norse girls golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they made the trip to Marshall County to take on the West Marshall Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Lincoln Valley Golf Course.
Roland-Story would win the meet with a team score of 186 (+42), 15 strokes ahead of West Marshall. Brinley Carlson would be the meet medalist, winning by shooting a 38 (+2). Sophomore Morgan Thompson was 2nd by shooting a 48 (+12), as junior Jenna Birkland placed 3rd and shot a 49 (+13). Senior Keely Oberender rounded out scoring by placing 6th and shooting a 51 (+15).
Other scorers saw sophomore Hadley Carlson shoot a 52 (+16), as senior Hannah Bates shot a 57 (+21).
Roland-Story girls golf returns to action on Thursday, when they compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center, beginning at 9 AM.
