Clarion-The first meeting for the month of May for the Wright County Board of Supervisors will be this Monday morning,May 4th at 9:00 in the downstairs conference room of the Wright County Courthouse in Clarion. Dani Eisentrager of the Iowa State Bar Foundation will present to the board a commemorative flag in recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary. A request from First Citizens Bank of Clarion to use the Courthouse Grounds on July 24th,2026 will be considered. The board will hold a budget amendment hearing at 9:15 Monday morning for the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Wright County Budget. There will be an update on the decision by the Iowa DNR for the construction permit for the Buffalo Site in Vernon Township.
In other Monday matters, the Wright County Supervisors will discuss and consider the options relating to the Taylor Avenue Bridge. Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons will have a secondary road update and to consider the Fiscal Year 2026 Iowa DOT Secondary Roads Budget Amendment for Wright County. There will be closed session to discuss strategy with counsel on matters in litigation or where litigation in imminent.
