Webster City girls basketball caps regular season with non-con win over Perry, 53-32

WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls basketball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Perry Jayettes in non-conference action at Webster City High School.

It would be a close first half, as Webster City led 9-5 after the first quarter, before building that lead to 22-13 at halftime. Perry would inch closer in the 3rd quarter, trailing the Lynx 37-29 going into the 4th, but Webster City’s defense would stifle the Jayettes in the 4th quarter to pull away for a 53-32 victory.

Sophomore Evie Davis led the way for Webster City, as she finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals, while Jaylyn Bahrenfuss added 11 points with 3, three-pointers. Lily Myers led Perry with 16 points.
