GOWRIE, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys basketball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the drive to southern Webster County to take on the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at Southeast Valley High School.
CGD entered looking to a score an upset to cap the regular season over a Southeast Valley team that hadn’t lost since the first week of December, but the Cowboys would come up just short by a 62-58 final.
Chaz Lane led the Cowboys with 21 points, as Huxley Lingenfelter added 11 points. Junior Bryce Harrison led Southeast Valley with 17 points.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys basketball returns to action on Monday night, as they host the Eagle Grove Eagles in their Class 2A, District 2 opener at CGD High School, with tipoff at 7 PM on 95.7 KQWC or streaming online at kqradio.com.
