Webster City basketball drops NCC doubleheader finale at St. Edmond

FORT DODGE, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx basketball teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the short trip west on Highway 20 to take on the St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at St. Edmond Catholic School in Fort Dodge.

It would be a tightly contested first half of the girls game, with the score tied at 7-7 after the first quarter, but the Gaels would open a 5-point advantage at halftime with a 21-16 score. The Gaels defense would come up big in the 3rd quarter, limiting the Lynx to 7 points as St. Edmond would hand Webster City a 49-34 loss.

Webster City stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning, St. Edmond was led by a 20-point performance from Eden Horn.

The boys game saw Webster City stay within arms length of the #4 team in 1A for the first half, but St. Edmond would dominate the 2nd half for a 59-32 victory. Stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning.
