PARKERSBURG, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into Butler County to take on the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons in non-conference action at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.
Tuesday’s first half was evenly-matched, as the game was tied at 11-11 after the first quarter, as Webster City managed to hold a 2-point lead at the halftime break at 23-21. The 3rd quarter saw the A-P offense explode for 26 points, as the Falcons kept the Lynx at bay in the 4th quarter to cap a 58-48 loss.
Webster City stats were not available as of Wednesday morning, as Eva Walker led Aplington-Parkersburg with 17 points.
The boys game followed as A-P jumped on Webster City early, as the Falcons led 23-9 after the first quarter, extending that lead to 37-21 at halftime. The Falcons continued to grow the lead throughout the 2nd half as the Lynx fell 72-42.
Webster City stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning, as Charlie Wessels led Aplington-Parkersburg with 20 points.
