ALGONA, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls and Cowboys basketball teams returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trip into Kossuth County to take on the Algona Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at Algona High School.
15th-ranked Algona got off to a slow start offensively, but managed to build a 36-7 halftime lead en route to taking down the Cowgirls by a score of 66-8. CGD stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning.
In the boys game, Algona would get revenge from an overtime loss in January as the Cowboys fell to the Bulldogs by a final of 69-53, stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning.
