ELDORA, Ia. — The South Hamilton Hawks basketball teams returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip east on Highway 175 to take on the South Hardin Tigers in non-conference action at South Hardin High School. The Hawk girls entered at 7-8, while the Hawk boys entered at 0-15.
The first quarter would be even as South Hardin held a slight 11-10 lead, as the Tigers extended that lead to a double-digit lead at 25-14 at halftime. The 2nd half would be ruled by defense, as South Hamilton could not makeup the deficit in a 37-24 loss.

South Hamilton’s boys kept things close in the 1st quarter, trailing just 11-6 after the first quarter, as South Hardin did extend the lead to 28-17 at halftime. The 3rd quarter saw South Hardin pull away with a 29-8 frame, as the Tigers coasted to a 71-34 victory.

South Hamilton basketball returns to action on Friday, when they travel to State Center to take on the West Marshall Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference action at West Marshall High School, with tipoff at 6 PM.
