Roland-Story wrestling splits tri-dual with Nevada and Iowa Falls-Alden

NEVADA, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norsemen wrestling team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the short trip to Nevada to compete in a tri-dual with the Nevada Cubs and the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets.

Roland-Story would fall to Iowa Falls-Alden in their first dual by a score of 37-30, as the Norsemen picked up wins by fall from Brady Long (132), Caiden Latch (138), Greysun Lein (150) and Chance Georgius (190), with a forfeit win from Colin Grundlingh at 175 pounds.

The Norsemen would turn around and dominate Nevada, after the Cubs won by forfeit at 106, Roland-Story reeled off 8 wins in a row that included 7 falls from Konnor Blume (113), Noah Healy (120), Kael Ammerman (126), Brady Long (144), Blake Loof (144), Greysun Lein (150) and Myles Handsaker (157), with a tech fall from Caiden Latch (138). The Norsemen wrapped up the dual with wins by fall from Chance Georgius (190), Roman Stotts (215) and Gavin Jeter (285).

Roland-Story wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they host the annual Norsemen Duals in Story City, beginning at 10 AM.
