Naig to visit Webster City this Friday afternoon.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig will visit Webster City this (Friday) afternoon for a roundtable discussion with area students and local leaders and learn about the new Career Ag Academy in Webster City. They broke ground on in March 2025. The facility is on Hamilton County Fairgrounds. It is a partnership between Webster City Schools, Career Ag Academy Inc., a local nonprofit, and Hamilton County Fair. Students can receive dual credit courses through partnerships with Iowa Central and Iowa State. The facility will have a dedicated livestock learning area, meat lab, and classrooms, among other amenities. The meeting will start at 3:15 p.m. at the Career Ag Academy at 1200 Bluff Street.
