Ellsworth City Council faces a wide range of issues at their Tuesday evening meeting this week.

At their Tuesday evening meeting, the Ellsworth City Council looked at public work issues. Public works supervisor Nick Vanlangen informed the council on work with the town’s streetlights under repair. Vanlangen presented the council with a watertower cleaning quote from Viking Industrial Painting for $1900 and tabled the town’s budget for the 20227 Fiscal Year until February 9th.Ellsworth City Clerk Heidi Eckers updated the council on new email addresses for the Council, the Mayor and City Staff,the use of new cell phones for the public works employees and the submission of the 2025 W2 and 1099 forms. The Ellsworth City Council was presented with a liquor license application for “The Girls Catering” for the February 6th Wild Turkey Federarion Banquet to be held at the Ellsworth Community Center. The liquor license for the Girls Catering was approved.

In other matters, the Ellsworth City Council approved the purchase of a payment for a new fire truck at $11,349. The council also approved the reappointment of Austin Heeren as Ellsworth City Attorney.
