CLARION, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they hosted the Clear Lake Lions in North Central Conference action at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School. The Cowgirls entered at 0-14, while the Cowboys entered at 9-4.
Clear Lake used a 30-0 first quarter to springboard themselves to an 88-3 victory on Tuesday night. Stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning.
The boys game followed as the 9th-ranked Lions jumped on the Cowboys early, leading 22-4 after the first quarter, extending that lead by a halftime score of 41-13. Clear Lake kept their foot on the gas in the 3rd quarter before coasting in the 4th to a 69-27 victory.
CGD stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning, Jaxson McIntire led the Lions with 18 points.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball returns to action on Thursday, as they host the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs in North Central Conference action with tipoff at 6 PM.
