The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors Tuesday morning breezed through their agenda. The board accepted a resolution to amend the secondary roads 5-year construction plan. This is for the work on Nelson Avenue in Lyon Township located northwest of Jewell with federal money amounting to $675,000 for road improvement projects. The board accepted the retirement request of Gina Campidilli from the Hamilton County Public Health Department. Campidilli started her work with the Public Health office in January of 2021. An alcohol license for the Briggs Woods Conference Center and Golf Course was approved along with a tobacco license for Williams LLC doing business as the new TA Truck Center to open soon in the former Boondocks truck stop site near Williams. The Hamilton County Supervisors approved to waive the 14-day Appeal for the Iowa Select facilities at Blairsburg 1 and Lincoln 36 confinement sites. Ryan Rupiper was appointed to serve as chairman and Kim Anderson as a board member for the Wilson Brewer Park Board of Trustees. Rupiper will take over for the seat being vacated by Doug Bailey who recently stepped down on the board.Claims totaling over $507,820 were approved at the Tuesday morning supervisor’s meeting. A bank authorization resolution for the Hamilton County Jail for certain staff members was approved by the board.
