The Jewell City Council will begin the search for a new council member Monday evening,January 26th.

When the Jewell City Council meets this Monday evening at the Jewell City Hall, they will accept the resignation of council member Scott Rohloff.  Rohloff’s term expires at the end of 2027. The council will look at having a special election or to appoint someone to fill the term.

The council will take a look at possible street repairs for budgeting purposes. There will be a look at resolutions for employee health insurance and to accept the work covering Jewell’s Main Street Improvement Project Phases 1 and 2. There will be a review of the pool manager job description, an ISG contract review and a report from the Montgomery Memorial Library.

This Monday’s meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Jewell City Hall council chambers.
