PERRY, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norsemen wrestling team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip into Dallas County to take on the Perry Bluejays in Heart of Iowa Conference dual action at Perry High School.
Roland-Story would defeat Perry in the dual by a score of 48-22. The Norsemen started off in 19-0 hole, as Perry picked up falls at 106 and 126, with a sudden victory at 113 and a major decision at 120. Brady Long got the Norsemen on the board with a pin at 132, followed by a Caiden Latch major decision at 138 to make the score 19-10.
Perry picked up a decision win at 144 to make the score 22-10, but Roland-Story dominated from that point on. The Norsemen picked up pins from Greysun Lein (150), Anthony Jones (165), Colin Grundlingh (175) and Roman Stotts (215), with a tech fall from Myles Handsaker (157), a decision from Gavin Jeter (285) and a forfeit win for Chance Georgius (190).
Roland-Story wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Adel to compete in the ADM Invitational at ADM High School, beginning at 10 AM.
