CONRAD, Ia. — The South Hamilton Hawks wrestling team returned to action on Saturday, as they traveled into Grundy County to compete in the Storm Dual Tournament at BCLUW High School. The Hawks were joined by the host Comets, as well as Dike-New Hartford, Hudson, Newman Catholic and Southeast Polk’s JV.
South Hamilton would fall to Dike-New Hartford 41-33, as the Hawks picked up wins by fall from Wrigley Eilbeck (126), Parker Stuck (190), Gaige Willis (215) and Brody Harris (285), with a forfeit win from Mason Ostrem. The Hawks followed with a 59-18 loss to Hudson, as the Hawks picked up wins by fall from Trace Junker (157) and Parker Stuck (190), with a forfeit win for Mason Ostrem (113).
The Hawks then fell to Newman Catholic 37-36 by criteria, as the Hawks picked up wins by fall from Mason Ostrem (113), Hagen Klein (120) and Brody Harris (285), with forfeit wins from Parker Stuck (190) and Gaige Willis (215). Southeast Polk’s JV would defeat South Hamilton 41-36, as the Hawks picked up wins by fall from Mason Ostrem (113), Hagen Klein (120), Trace Junker (157), Parker Stuck (190), Gaige Willis (215) and Brody Harris (285).
The final dual of the day would see the Hawks fall by criteria for the 2nd time in the tournament in a 37-36 loss to BCLUW-SH. The Hawks picked up wins by fall from Mason Ostrem (113), Wrigley Eilbeck (132) and Parker Stuck (190), with forfeit wins from Hagen Klein (120), Trace Junker (157) and Brody Harris (285).
South Hamilton wrestling returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Jefferson to compete in a Heart of Iowa Conference tri dual at Greene County High School, beginning at 5:30 PM.
