Roland-Story girls basketball drops road non-con matchup to (3A) #14 Clear Lake, 49-39

CLEAR LAKE, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norse girls basketball team returned to action on Monday night, as they made the drive up I-35 into northern Iowa to take on the Clear Lake Lions in non-conference action at Clear Lake High School. Roland-Story entered the contest with a record of 8-3.

Clear Lake was able to open a slight lead in the 1st quarter, leading 14-10 at the end of the frame, holding onto that 4-point lead at halftime at 23-19. The Norse continued to battle close, but couldn’t close the gap further as Clear Lake slightly pushed the lead to 34-28 going into the 4th, before falling short to the Lions in a 49-39 defeat.

Roland-Story stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning.

Roland-Story basketball returns to action on Tuesday night, when they host the Grand View Christian Vikings in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School with tipoff at 6 PM.
