The South Hamilton Community School Board’s first meeting of 2026 will be this Monday evening, January 12th at 6:00 p.m. at the junior/senior high board room in Jewell. The board will review and approve the applications for early retirement requests. A plan for the at-risk/dropout prevention for the 2026/27 year will be on the agenda. There will be the appointment of a board negotiation team for new staff contracts. In other matters, the South Hamilton school board Monday night will consider a financial services agreement with Piper Sandler, electronic bidding on a SAVE bond sale, and consider a dissemination agent agreement with Piper Sandler for required ongoing Continuing Disclosure. There will also be the approval of open enrollment requests, fundraisers and hiring recommendations for South Hamilton. Superintendent Heather Holm will have her updates on school activities plus other matters.
