ALGONA, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx wrestling team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip into Kossuth County to compete in a North Central Conference tri-dual with the Algona Bulldogs and St. Edmond Gaels at Algona High School.
Webster City would take care of business against St. Edmond, winning 61-9 with pins from Lincoln Brookshire (113), Andrew Vaughn (150) and Peyton Weisberg (285), tech falls from Ty Bingham (120) and Tariq Burton (126) and a decision from Angel Ramirez (106).
The Lynx then followed by dropping their dual to (2A) #10 Algona 70-11, as Webster City’s victories came from an Angel Ramirez tech fall at 106 and a Lincoln Brookshire pin at 113.
Webster City wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the Allie Morrison Duals at the Marshalltown Roundhouse, beginning at 10 AM.
