Eagle Grove wrestling sweeps Top of Iowa Conference quad dual in Garner

GARNER, Ia. — The Eagle Grove Eagles wrestling team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the drive into Hancock County to compete in Top of Iowa Conference quad dual with the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals, North Union Warriors and West Hancock Eagles at GHV High School.

Eagle Grove would defeat Garner-Hayfield-Ventura by a score of 49-24, as the Eagles picked up pinfall wins from Kylar Sission (126), Colson Schafer (144), Caden Hauenstein (165), Hilario Santos (215) and James Harle (285), with a major decision from Dylan Terwilliger (132) and a decision from Keegan Eisentrager (138). Hayden Schafer (157) and Jayden Kreitlow (175) picked up forfeit wins as well.

The Eagles then routed North Union 68-3, as the Cowboys picked up pins from Kylar Sisson (126), Keegan Eisentrager (138) and Jackson Babcock (150), with tech falls from Hayden Schafer (157) and Christian Schild (215), as Colson Schafer (144) won by major decision. Forfeit wins were awarded to Ethan Schreiber (106), Andrew Orozco (120), Dylan Terwilliger (132), Jayden Kreitlow (175), Hilario Santos (190) and James Harle (285).

Eagle Grove then defeated West Hancock by a score of 46-28 to wrap up the night, as Eagle Grove picked up pinfall wins from Caden Hauenstein (165) and Jayden Kreitlow (175), with tech falls from Kylar Sisson (126) and Hayden Schafer (157) and a medical forfeit victory for Colson Schafer (144). The Eagles picked up forfeit wins from Ethan Schreiber (106), Andrew Orozco (120) and Christian Schild (190).

Eagle Grove wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they compete at the Gary Christensen Invitational at Winterset High School beginning at 10 AM.
