WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys wrestling teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as Webster City hosted an NCC tri dual that was also joined by the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs.
Top-ranked CGD would come away with a 59-17 win over Hampton-Dumont-CAL to start the night, as the Cowboys picked up pin wins from Cole Wibholm (106), Estuardo Lopez (113), Angel Cortes Hinojosa (120), Adrian Phetxoumphone (126), Dawson Beyer (157), Ryland Morgan (175) and JT Kelso (285). CGD also picked up an 18-1 tech fall from Paxton Redenius (126) and a 16-1 tech fall from Easton Beyer (190), with a decision from Reed Campbell (150).
Webster City then faced off with Hampton-Dumont-CAL, as the Lynx would fall by a score of 55-24. The Lynx picked up pinfall wins from Angel Ramirez (106) and Lincoln Brookshire (113), a tech fall from Jaysen Vankham (132), a major decision from Eli Estlund (190) and a decision from Cody Elliott (215).
The final dual of the night saw CGD defeat Webster City by a score of 72-9, as the Cowboys picked up pin wins from Cole Wibholm (106), Angel Cortes Hinojosa (120), Paxton Redenius (126), Damon Founts (132), Ryland Morgan (175) and JT Kelso (285). CGD also picked up tech falls from Estuardo Lopez (113) and Dawson Beyer (157), a major decision from Reed Campbell (150) and a decision from Easton Beyer (190).
