Iowa State Patrol investigate a four-vehicle accident Tuesday morning at the Hamilton-Hardin County line

There was no report of any injuries in a four-vehicle accident shortly before 8 Tuesday morning at the Hamilton Hardin county line at 270th Street and Zublin Avenue. The Iowa State Patrol reported a 2020 model Peterbilt semi and livestock trailer operated by Justin Sorensen of Livermore, Iowa was stopped at a stop sign on Zublin Avenue to make a west turn onto 270th Street. Due to the heavy fog,Sorensen could not see the other vehicles both traveling west and eastbound. A westbound 1999 Buick LeSabre driven by Aaron Van Langen of Alden struck the front passenger side of the Sorensen semi. Another vehicle described as a 2016 model Ford F-15 pickup truck driven by William Hammond of Des Moines swerved to avoid the collision traveling into the west ditch ending in a nearby field on the south side of 270th Street.The next vehicle was a 2023 Ram Laramie pickup  operated by Austin Smuck of Iowa Falls was traveling westbound on 270th Street and swerved to avoid the collision but traveled into the right ditch and land on the north side field of 270th Street. There were no injuries in the Tuesday morning accident. Iowa State Patrol trooper Payton Harris investigated.
