CLEAR LAKE, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls wrestling team returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trip into Cerro Gordo County to compete in a North Central Conference quad meet with Clear Lake, Iowa Falls-Alden and West Fork at Clear Lake High School.
Webster City would open with a 47-24 win over West Fork, as the Lynx picked up pinfall wins from Lexi Mathes (105) and Kate Feltz (135) and a tech fall from Abby Heckert (190). The Lynx would follow with a 42-36 win over the hosts from Clear Lake, as Webster City picked up pinfall wins from Kearsyn Kite (115), Kali Hartnett (120) and Ariana Wilson (130).
The final bout of the night saw Webster City fall to Iowa Falls-Alden by a score of 33-30, as the Lynx picked up pin wins from Lexi Mathes (110), Kearsyn Kite (120), Kali Hartnett (125) and Kendra Shultz (145).
Webster City girls wrestling returns to action on Monday, when they host a North Central Conference quad with Eagle Grove, Humboldt and Charles City beginning at 6 PM.
