Police in Fort Dodge were notified of a man being shot early Sunday morning. The Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call at 12:35 a.m. of the reported shooting at 903 8th Street S.W. in Fort Dodge. When police arrived, they located a 36-year-old male that had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to the man until the Fort Dodge Fire crews arrived on the scene. The man was transported to Unity Point-Trinity Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The shooting victim was ultimately transported to a Des Moines hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition as mid-day Sunday. Authorities continue with their investigation into the Sunday morning shooting. The Fort Dodge Police was assisted by the Fort Dodge Fire Department, the Webster County Sheriff’s office and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
