The election of a mayor and mayor pro-tem for 2026 for Webster City will be a part of this Monday evening’s meeting of the Webster City City Council beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. John Hawkins has been serving as Webster City mayor while Logan Welch has been serving as the mayor pro tem for 2025. Welch’s term ended last Wednesday, December 31st. There will be numerous appointments to city boards and commissions during Monday’s meeting. A resolution awarding the 2026 Electrical Line Clearance and Tree Removal Service will be discussed. There will be the second reading on the ordinances for special 35 and 45 mile per hour zones in the city. This meeting will be the first one for new council members Ashley Allers and John Marvel and for returning council member John Hawkins. All three were elected by Webster City voters last November 4th. Monday’s council meeting will be video streamed live on both the City of Webster City and KQWC Facebook pages beginning at 6:00 p.m.
