New Year’s closings in Webster City and Hamilton County.

New Year’s Day Thursday will mean closings of various businesses for the holiday. The Webster City City Hall will close at 12 noon today (Wednesday) to reopen on Friday, January 2nd. The Fuller Hall Recreation Center will close at 12 noon today (Wednesday) for New Year’s Eve to reopen again on Friday, January 2nd at 6:00 for the last day of Winter Break activities for youngsters. The Hamilton County Courthouse will be open regular hours today, December 31st and closed Thursday. Webster City’s financial institutions will close early today for New Year’s Eve and will reopen again on Friday. Kendall Young Library will be closed both today December 31st and Thursday, January 1st for the New Year’s holiday. There will be no city or rural delivery mail from area post offices Thursday. The Webster City Post Office box lobby will be open for box holders on Thursday however the customer service window will be closed for the day. Mail service resumes on Friday, January 2nd.
