LAKE MILLS, Ia. — The Eagle Grove Eagles basketball teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into far northern Iowa to take on the Lake Mills Bulldogs in Top of Iowa West action at Lake Mills High School. The Eagle girls entered at 1-5, as the Eagle boys also entered at 1-5.
Lake Mills’s girls would control from the get go, leading 18-2 after the first quarter, a lead pushed to 31-5 at halftime. The Bulldogs offense continued to flourish in the 2nd half en route to a 62-18 victory.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning.
The boys game followed as Lake Mills jumped on the Eagle boys early, up 17-4 after the first quarter. Eagle Grove bounced back in the 2nd quarter to trail just 29-17 at halftime, but the Bulldogs would keep the Eagles at arms length throughout the 2nd half to cap a 61-38 win.
Eagle Grove stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning.
Eagle Grove basketball returns to action on Thursday night, when they travel to Belmond to take on Belmond-Klemme in Top of Iowa West action with tipoff at 6:15 PM.
