Busy Thursday afternoon for Fort Dodge firefighters.

There was another fire call for the Fort Dodge Fire Department Thursday afternoon. Fire trucks were summoned to a house fire at 1207 South 24th Street at 3:18 p.m. Thursday. A 2-story wood frame home was engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived. The fire was under control by multiple hardlines by the department. Fire fighters were on the scene for three hours. There were no injuries reported. Three dogs were removed from the home by fire personnel and bystanders. The cause of the Thursday afternoon fire is under investigation. Fort Dodge Police and Mid-American Energy assisted at the fire scene.
