South Hamilton football coach Paul Skartvedt resigns after 4 seasons

JEWELL, Ia. — The South Hamilton football program will be in search of a new head football coach after Paul Skartvedt’s resignation was accepted by the South Hamilton school board at Monday night’s (12/8) school board meeting.

Skartvedt took over as head coach from Cory Klemp following the 2021 season and led the Hawks to a 22-17 record with 2 district titles and 3 playoff appearances in Class 1A.

The Hubbard-Radcliffe grad and former Iowa State football player had been an assistant coach for the Hawks prior to his elevation as head coach in 2022.

South Hamilton football finished with a 1-8 record in 2025.
