Ellsworth City Council faces a light agenda at last Monday’s meeting.

This week, the Ellsworth City Council appointed Kris Groth for the open position on the Ellsworth Library Board. Jessica Lowe was present to ask if the city would allow an indoor market in the Ellsworth Community Center from 10;00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13th. The council gave its approval for the request to host the market next month.There will be a set up set for Friday, December 12th and waiving of the rental fee for it.

The Ellsworth City Council voted to approve a door quote from Commercial Construction Products Company not to include enamel paint for the amount of $4180.The council also discussed a potential timeline for the new covered dugout project at the ballfield. The council will meet with potential sponsors to fund the estimated $12,000 project.

There was an update this week concerning the Comp Plan from the ISU College of Design. The students from ISU will be presenting a draft of the 10-year land use plan at the first council meeting in December. Ellsworth City Clerk Heidi Eckers has been working with MIDAS, Ellsworth’s Council of Governments on pursuing LMI  status for CDBG Grant eligibility as a potential funding source for the town’s watertower project.
