Thanksgiving closings on Thursday in the area.

Thanksgiving Day will mean numerous closings to the area this Thursday, November 27th.  The Hamilton County Courthouse, all Hamilton County offices and the Webster City municipal building will be closed both Thursday and Friday for the holiday weekend to reopen again on Monday, December 1st.  All financial offices will be closed for the day on Thursday with banking services to resume on Friday, November 28th. You will not be getting your mail on Thursday due to Thanksgiving with no city or rural delivery. The Webster City Post Office box lobby will be open for the benefit of box holders however the customer service window will be closed Thursday. Mail service will resume again on Friday. The Kendall Young Library in Webster City will close for the holiday weekend on Wednesday, November 26th at 3:00 p.m. to resume again on Monday, December 1st. All area schools will be closed Thursday and Friday with classes to resume again on Monday, December 1st. The Fuller Hall Recreation Center will be closed on Thursday however their annual Turkey Trot is set for this Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. with registration set for 8:30.  The entry for this event will be two cans of non-perishable food items.  Many area businesses will be closed for Thanksgiving with the exception of convenience stores. Stores will reopen on Friday, November 28th for the holiday shopping period with Black Friday specials.
