The tie breaker for the three city council members in Kamrar in the November 4th city council election was decided by the Hamilton County Supervisors at a special meeting Wednesday afternoon. There was a three-way tie between Dustin Flatebo, Gunther Range and Matthew Wallen. The three received 11 votes separately from the voters of Kamrar causing the tie election. The supervisors put the names of the candidates into a bowl to end the three-way tie. The supervisors drew the names of Dustin Flatebo and Matthew Wallen as the winners of the Kamrar City Council. Gerald Huisman was the winner of the third seat with a total of 12 votes in the council election. Huisman, Flatebo and Wallen will be sworn in to serve their terms at an upcoming city council meeting in Kamrar. The other candidates in the election in Kamrar included Jodi Flatebo with 9 votes, Cody Range with 6 votes and Ashley Flatebo with three votes. There were 63 Kamrar residents who voted in the municipal election on November 4th.
