“Where Traditions Shine” will be the 2026 theme for the Hamilton County Fair.

The Hamilton County Fair Board of Directors held its annual meeting on Tuesday night in the Van Diest Building. Board members learned of the theme for the 2026 exposition. It will be “Where Traditions Shine”. The dates for the fair will be July 21st to 26th ,2026. Again, the fair will kick off with the annual parade through the Webster City business district to the fairgrounds. Zach Williams will continue on as fair president. Adam Richardson as vice president and Tennie Carlson as treasurer. The board accepted the resignation of Kylee Ormesher as board member. Whitney Lincoln was named to serve on the fair board. The board accepted the resignation of Nathan Keller whose position was filled by Todd Pille.The meeting featured various reports from the Hamilton County Extension and Outreach Service of Iowa State, the grounds committee and a look back at the racing season. Plans for the next season have been announced with the first race of the 2026 season set for April 4th.  The fair of this past summer drew a good turnout despite the hot and humid weather and one rainy night at the fairgrounds. Work on preparing the 2026 Hamilton County Fair will begin with the entertainment and attractions for all ages during the winter season.
