GRAETTINGER,Iowa-Nearly 200 Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO)
team members came together for a comprehensive All-Staff Inservice event recently, focused on
organization wide collaboration and reaffirming the organization’s mission to assist Iowans.
The Inservice featured staff presentations and interactive activities designed to equip staff with
updated tools and resources to better assist individuals and families to efficiently and effectively
access UDMO programs. The event also served as a valuable opportunity for cross-departmental
connection and sharing of best practices.
“When our staff come together to share ideas and learn from one another, we’re not just investing in
our team, we’re investing in the people and families who turn to UDMO in their time of need,” said
Julie Edwards, Executive Director of UDMO. “This Inservice was not only about information sharing,
but about building unity and preparing our trusted staff to continue making a meaningful impact in the
lives of our friends and neighbors who are working towards self-sufficiency.”
UDMO operates across 12 counties in Northwest and North Central Iowa, offering programs in Energy
