Absentee voting in Hamilton County will begin October 15th

Hamilton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Kim Schaa has announced that absentee ballots for November 4, 2025, City/School Elections will be available in the Auditor’s Office starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

 

All voters are required to provide ID for proof of identity and residence before receiving and casting a ballot.

 

To obtain an absentee ballot, a qualified voter must complete an Official Absentee Ballot Request Form and submit it to the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office. Upon receipt of the request form, an absentee ballot and voting instructions will be mailed to you. Official Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available at www.hamiltoncounty.org, or www.sos.iowa.gov/elections-voting If you do not have printer capability or access to the internet, you may call the Auditor’s Office to have a request form mailed to you. Absentee/Early Voting:

The 1st day to vote absentee in the Auditor’s Office is October 15, 2025.

Last day to vote at the Auditor’s Office is 4:30pm, November 3, 2025

 

Voting by Mail:

The first day to Mail requested absentee ballots is October 15, 2025

The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to the voter is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025.
