STATE CENTER — The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip east on Highway 30 to take on the West Marshall Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference action at West Marshall High School. Roland-Story entered at 20-7 and ranked #13 in Class 3A, while West Marshall entered at 4-20.
Set 1 would be a close one early, but Roland-Story managed to pull away for a 25-17 win, before the Norsemen ratcheted things up in set 2 for a 25-8 win. Roland-Story continued their domination into set 3 for a 25-9 win and capping a 3-0 victory.
Brookelyn Jondle and Caitlyn Flattebo each tallied 9 kills, as Flattebo had a block and 2 aces, while Flattebo added 3 aces. Maddi Lucas added 8 kills, while Miley Geise had 5 kills and 22 assists.
Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Monday, when they travel to PCM to take on the Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at PCM High School with first serve at 7:20 PM.
