STORY CITY — The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted their home tournament at Roland-Story High School. The Norsemen were joined by Gilbert, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Marshalltown and South Hardin.
Roland-Story opened the day with a win over Hampton-Dumont-CAL 2-0 (21-19, 21-8), before grabbing a 2-0 win (23-21, 21-13) over NICL-foe South Hardin. The evening slate saw the Norsemen win a 2-0 match (21-16, 22-20) over county-rivals Gilbert, before ending the night with a 2-0 win (21-9, 21-15) over 5A-Marshalltown.
Norsemen volleyball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to State Center to take on West Marshall in Heart of Iowa Conference action at West Marshall High School, with first serve at 6:30 PM.
