PERRY — The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made trip to Dallas County to take on the Perry Jayettes in Heart of Iowa Conference action on Dan Marburger Court at Perry High School. Roland-Story entered at 14-7 and ranked #15 in Class 3A, while Perry entered at 0-12.
Roland-Story would dominate from the get out on Tuesday night, winning the opening set in a lopsided 25-8 win, before taking the 2nd set by a score of 25-11. The Norsemen would allow reserves playing time in the 3rd set before pulling away for a 25-17 win and a 3-0 sweep.
Junior Maddi Lucas led the Norsemen with 9 kills and a block on Tuesday, as Brookelyn Jondle, Keely Oberender and Taryn Peterson all tallied 5 kills a piece. Miley Geise had a kill and 21 assists as well.
Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Thursday night, when they host conference-rivals South Hamilton at Roland-Story High School with first serve at 6:30 PM on 95.7 KQWC or streaming online at kqradio.com.
