JEWELL- The second reading to increase the water rates for Jewell’s residents and business customers by 15 percent will be on this Monday evening’s city council meeting in Jewell. There will be the approval of the executed deed for the sale of lot 4 in the Edgewater Estate third addition. Sean Hannel will be sworn in as a new member of the Jewell Fire and Rescue Department. The date and time for Halloween Trick or Treating in Jewell will be set by the council. In other matters,the Jewell City Council will discuss the pool filter replacement project, an update on work on Main Street and plans for the application of the Community Development Block Grant for Jewell plus other matters. The Jewell City Council meeting this Monday,September 22nd is set for 7 p.m. in the Jewell City Hall.
