The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation, in partnership with a volunteer community committee, is seeking resident input on bringing a comprehensive meal program to the southern half of Hamilton County, including Stanhope and Stratford.
The proposed program would offer two options: nutritious hot meals delivered directly to homes (Meals on Wheels) or served at community locations where residents can dine and socialize with neighbors. The congregate dining option would also include educational and service opportunities provided by Hamilton County Public Health.
“They want to ensure there’s genuine community interest before moving forward,” said Darcy Swon, Development Director of the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation. “This survey will help determine if they should proceed with developing the program, with a goal of being operational by winter.”
Residents in Stanhope and Stratford will receive surveys by mail in the coming days. The anonymous survey must be completed by September 30, 2025.
