Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball competes in South Hardin Tournament on Saturday

ELDORA — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls volleyball team returned to action on Saturday, as they made the trip to Eldora to compete in the South Hardin Tournament at South Hardin High School.  The Cowgirls were joined by the host Tigers, as well as Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Greene County and Oelwein.

CGD started their day by facing the hosts in South Hardin, losing 2-0 with sets of 16-21 and 15-21, before dropping a 2-0 decision to (1A) #10 Gladbrook-Reinbeck by sets of 13-21 and 9-21.

In the afternoon, CGD would take on the Greene County Rams and fell by a 2-0 margin by sets of 19-21 and 18-21, as the Cowgirls wrapped up the day with 2-0 loss to Oelwein by sets of 18-21 and 18-21.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball returns to action on Tuesday, when they host Eagle Grove in non-conference action at CGD High School with first serve at 7 PM on 95.7 KQWC or streaming online at kqradio.com.
