ROCKWELL CITY-A two vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 20 and Fletcher Avenue in Calhoun County was investigated on Wednesday morning. The Iowa State Patrol reported a northbound 2002 model Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Cadyn Oscar Ogden of Rockwell City was on Fletcher Avenue at the time. The Ogden pickup failed to stop at the posted stop sign when it collided with an eastbound 2023 model Mack semi operated by Richard L. Kanne of Lake View. The Ogden pickup came to rest in the south ditch of U.S. 20 while the Kanne semi came to rest in the median of the highway. Dense fog was reported at the time. Cadyn Ogden died of injuries in the accident while Kanne was injured. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Calhoun County Sherriff’s Office EMS and Lytton Fire and Rescue.
