GOLDFIELD- The Iowa State Patrol on Sunday released the names of the individuals in the ATV accident in rural Wright County. The accident happened near Goldfield along the Boone River near Highway 3 at 3:11 Saturday morning. Reportedly a John Deere Gator ATV was operated by 21-year-old Levi Rasmussen of Goldfield was traveling near the Boone River near Highway 3 when it misjudged how close it was to the river. The ATV entered the river after a significant drop from the river bank.Both Rasmussen and his passenger,20-year-old Mckenna Woodbeck of Huxley were thrown from the vehicle, trapping Woodbeck underneath causing fatal injuries to her. Rasmussen was transported by Eagle Grove Ambulance to Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion for treatment of his injuries. Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were members of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Grove Police and Goldfield Fire Department.
