The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a one vehicle accident in rural Wright County that happened eight miles south of Clarion. The accident happened on Wright County Road R-38 at approximately 7:15 Sunday night. The driver of the vehicle lost control while driving. It then entered the east ditch, struck a utility pole and field drive. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle. A passenger suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants were transported to Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion with serious injuries. The names from the Sunday night accident have not been released.
