Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball falls at Iowa Falls-Alden, 3-1

IOWA FALLS — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they opened their North Central Conference slate with a road trip to Iowa Falls-Alden to take on the Cadets. CGD entered Thursday at 2-4, while IF-A entered at 1-2.

Things would start well for the Cowgirls, taking the opening set by a score of 25-18. However, set 2 would prove to be a turning point, as the frame went into extra rallies, it was Iowa Falls-Alden that emerged victorious by a score of 26-24. The Cadets then used the momentum to take set 3 by a score of 25-19, before closing out set 4, 25-20 to grab a 3-1 win.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Hampton to take on Hampton-Dumont-CAL in North Central Conference action with first serve at 7 PM.
