Iowa State Patrol investigated a one car accident near Williams on August 23rd.

WILLIAMS- A one car accident at the 148-mile marker of Interstate 35 near Williams was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol shortly before 7 last Saturday morning, August 23rd with details released on Wednesday morning. Reportedly a southbound 2016 model Ford C-Max car driven by Matthew Mayorga of Frisco, Texas crossed the median of the highway after he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The Mayorga car then came to a stop on the northbound shoulder of I35. There were no injuries in the accident. The damage to the Mayorga car was estimated at $2000. Investigating state trooper Bennett Eaton cited Matthew Mayorga with Failure to Maintain Control.
