Jordan Miller steps down as Eagle Grove baseball coach after 11 seasons

EAGLE GROVE — Eagle Grove baseball will be in search of a new baseball coach for the first time in over a decade as Jordan Miller’s resignation was approved at the Eagle Grove school board meeting on Monday evening (8/12).

Miller steps away after 11 seasons as head coach to become the new head coach for the St. Edmond Gaels after long-time head coach Mike Szlat retired following the 2025 season.

In his 11 seasons, Miller collected a record of 107-150 with the Eagles and produced a winning record in 2017, 2022, 2023 and 2024, leading the Eagle Grove program throughout nearly their entire extent in the Top of Iowa Conference, as they will rejoin the North Central Conference following the 2025-26 school year.
