A wet July for Webster City with normal temperatures for the month.

WEBSTER CITY- Webster City ended July with a month of above normal precipitation and normal temperatures. For the first time since 2010, Webster City had over 10 inches of rainfall on Radio Hill. A total of 10.11 inches was measured. In July,2010, there was over 14 inches measured in rainfall. The normal rainfall for July is at 3.82 inches. As for temperatures, the average high for Webster City was 83 degrees with an average low of 63 degrees. The normal high is 83 degrees in July. There was no report of any tornadoes for the past month in the Hamilton County area. The warmest temperature for July was 90 degrees set twice on July 3rd and 27th. The lowest temperature was 54 degrees set on July 13th.

The National Weather Service said the month of August will be a month for equal chances for both precipitation and temperatures for Iowa. Webster City’s average high last August was 80 degrees with the average low at 58 degrees.
